SOUTHEND United manager Phil Brown has made four changes to his starting line-up for this afternoon’s clash with Carlisle at Roots Hall.
Goalkeeper Ted Smith has been selected back in goal in place of Daniel Bentley who again misses out with a groin injury.
Adam Thompson and Luke Prosser have also been recalled at the heart of the back with both Adam Barrett and Cian Bolger dropping out of the team.
And the final change comes in midfield where Will Atkinson has been preferred to Gary Deegan.
He has been selected among the substitutes but there is no place in the squad for Bolger, Jake Cassidy or Paul Smith meaning Blues have no sub keeper on the bench for the first time this season.
