SOUTHEND United centre-back Adam Thompson will miss Monday’s trip to Hartlepool with the shoulder injury he picked up during the 2-0 win against Mansfield Town.
Thompson’s right shoulder popped out of its socket after he landed awkwardly following an aerial challenge with Stags striker Vadaine Oliver.
And Blues boss Phil Brown has revealed Thompson will not be fit to face the Monkeyhangers.
“I don’t think Adam will be playing Monday,” confirmed Brown.
“He’s been playing since the Northampton game in January with a strapped up shoulder after it popped out and this time it’s the other one which has popped out. It’s not good for him that both shoulders are likely to pop out at any given time.
“But Adam’s a warrior and hopefully we can resolve the injuries to get him back out there as quickly as we can.”
