SOUTHEND United legend Adam Barrett was the star guest at the club’s community trust’s latest holiday club held at the Deanes Sports Centre in Thundersley.
Barrett, who has made close to 300 appearances for the Shrimpers, helped to coach the youngsters and also trained alongside them before answering their questions when the football had come to an end.
The trust also held a club at Southend High School for Boys and helped to coach a combined total of more than 500 youngsters.
One budding player from the holiday camps has also progressed into Blues’ academy.
