BLUES boss Phil Brown has yet to decide whether or not to appeal against the red card Ben Coker received during Saturday’s 1-0 win against Luton Town.

Referee Iain Wiliamson adjudged Coker was the last man when he brought down Hatters substitute Shaun Whalley.

But Brown initially felt it was an incorrect decision.

“I don’t know whether or not there will be an appeal process but if I can do I will,” said the Shrimpers chief.

“After their lad had his last touch Cian Bolger was actually on the ball when the referee blew the whistle so if that’s not the last man covering then I don’t know what is.

“He was going away from goal too but who knows, there could be a chance for Luke Prosser now.”
