DANNY Galbraith’s trial at Southend United could be extended by a further week.
The former Gillingham winger started against Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday.
And Shrimpers boss Phil Brown could well hand the 24-year-old another opportunity to impress.
“Galbraith played a decent part in the side going forward but we need to work with him defensively so it could help him if he stays in the camp,” said Brown.
“If he’s willing to stay with us for another week then he’s welcome to do so.”
But Portguese centre-back Yago Fernandez will not be staying with the Shrimpers.
“Where Yago is concerned I’m looking for a more commanding centre-half,” said Brown.
