A TRIO of Championship clubs are interested in Southend United’s Jack Payne – along with a top level Dutch side.

Ipswich Town, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Huddersfield Town are all believed to be tracking the attacking midfielder.

And Sparta Rotterdam, who have just been promoted to the top division in Holland, are also believed to have made contact with Payne’s representatives.

The attacking midfielder, who came through the youth system at Roots Hall, looks certain to leave the Shrimpers at the end of the season after failing to agree a new deal.

The 21-year-old has scored 17 goals in 87 appearances for Blues.
