SOUTHEND United manager Phil Brown is keen to hold further talks with Franck Moussa about the Belgian’s future.
The midfielder ended the season back at Roots Hall.
And Brown hinted he would be interested in keeping the 26-year-old.
“Franck impressed me towards the end of last season and I’m keen to talk to him about next year,” said the Blues boss.
“These things take time but I’ve left a voicemail for Franck and would certainly be interested in having further talks with him.”
Moussa returned to the Shrimpers in March following his release from Charlton Athletic and scored in his only appearance against Bury on the last game of the season.
But Brown wants him to be able to play a full campaign.
“Franck needs to be available for the whole season,” said the Blues boss.
“We don’t want to bring in bit part players. They’re a waste of time.”
