SOUTHEND United’s Adam Barrett has been left delighted by the success of his academy’s latest venue.

The Shrimpers defender is now also coaching youngsters at the Len Forge Centre in Eastwood.

And Barrett has been pleased with the numbers attending.

“It’s been going really well and I’m happy with how it’s going at another excellent facility,” said Barrett.

“The numbers have been excellent and the quality has been really pleasing too.

“We’re still holding the coaching sessions at Cedar Hall but we had a waiting list of people who wanted to come down, so we thought we would look for another venue which has been working really well.

“We’ve also held our first soccer school which was also very pleasing and everything is going well, so it’s still an exciting project to be part of.”

Barrett’s Players Football Academy has also been boosted by sponsorship deal with Central Cars and DJC Property Management.
