FREDDY Eastwood is not sure who he should be cheering for when Wales take on England in Euro 2016 tomorrow.

The former Southend United striker grew up in Essex but represented Wales due to his grandfather, scoring four goals in 11 appearances.

And the 32-year-old is not sure who we wants to win.

“It’s a difficult one for me because my I live in England and my family are all English but I’ve played for Wales so I don’t know who to cheer for if I’m honest,” said Eastwood.

“I guess a draw would be the perfect result for me but that’s definitely going to suit Wales more than England.

“But this a very strong Wales side and if I’m being honest I expect them to finish top of the group.”

Wales kicked off their Euro 2016 campaign with a 2-1 win against Slovakia.

And Eastwood is thrilled to see so many of his former team-mates in action at a major international event.

“There are still quite a few of the players involved from when I was in the squad which was great to see,” said the former forward.

“When I was playing we had quality in twos and threes with the likes of Gareth Bale and Craig Bellamy but now most of the team are playing in the Premier League.

“I’m really happy for them and obviously hope both England and Wales get through the group.”

England started their Euro 2016 campaign with a disappointing 1-1 draw against Russia.

And Eastwood was far from impressed.

“I was left feeling quite disappointed after the England game,” said Eastwood.

“I thought it was really strange that Jamie Vardy didn’t get on and it left me wondering whether or not he had a slight knock we didn’t know about.

“His pace would have turned Russia round in the closing stages and I think not bringing him on was a decision which came back to bite England in the end.

“It will be interesting to see if he’s involved at all tomorrow and it’s a game I’m looking forward to seeing.”

Eastwood will be watching the game in Spain with his family.

But he will not be at all envious towards those involved in the action.

“Of course I would love to have played at a major tournament or in the Premier League but I’ve had my time now,” said Eastwood.

“I can watch it around a BBQ with a few beers instead now!”
