SOUTHEND United will kick off their pre-season campaign at Great Wakering Rovers this afternoon.
The match at Burroughs Park starts at 1pm.
And Blues boss Phil Brown will be fielding a different line up in each half.
“We had been looking at three lots of 30 minutes for the player but it will be two lots of 45 now because of how sharp the lads have looked in training,” said Brown.
“We always look forward to starting our pre-season off against Great Wakering and this year is no different.
“All of the first team players who are available will play and so will the trialists we have.”
Former Newcastle United striker Nile Ranger will feature at Burroughs Park along with ex Dundee United defender Gavin Gunning and former Queens Park Rangers midfielder Tom Rosenthal.
