SOUTHEND United manager Phil Brown will again be running the rule over a trio of trialists in Saturday’s friendly with West Ham United.

Centre-backs Jakub Sokolik and William Edjenguele and striker Ronan Murray will all feature at Burroughs Park.

But Brown admitted it was likely to be their last chance to earn a permanent deal.

“Jakub and William have given themselves half a chance with how they performed in Spain,” said Brown.

“Ronan is probably a little bit further down the line in terms of being offered a deal because I think he offers us something we don’t have.

“He will also play some part in the West Ham game and then we will make a decision on all three of them.”
