ECHOSPORT chats to Millwall fan Mark Litchfield ahead of tomorrow's match at Southend United.

What have you made of Millwall's start to the season?

"On the whole, it's been good.

"Notoriously bad starters, to be in the top six after just a handful of games is a welcome surprise.

"Obviously, we had the capitulation at Peterborough, but the reaction to that since has been strong and we have picked up some quality results along the way, such as a 3-1 win at Chesterfield and a last minute victory against Sheffield United.

"We're usually languishing near the bottom about now, so there isn't much cause for complaint."

What are the hopes for Millwall this season?

"This may sound big headed, but automatic promotion.

"Last season was all about letting the dust settle and getting back to basics - to make the play-offs was a bonus, in all honesty.

"But, now we've all had a year to see who is who and what is what, I truly believe that when Millwall are on their game, they're one of - if not the - best teams in League One.

"Therefore, I'm of the belief that we have enough to get out of this division.

"That's not me saying I wouldn't take winning the play-offs, but as a club that's had experience of many losing campaigns, it'd be nice to avoid them altogether."

David Worrall joined Millwall after turning down the chance to stay with Southend in the summer. How has he done so far?

"He has become a bit of a fans favourite already - and with good reason.

"At Millwall, we like wingers that will get the ball down and attack a full-back and get a cross in.

"Worrall does exactly that.

"He has a few assists to his name already and a quality goal at MK Dons, so here's hoping his form continues."

Who do Southend need to keep an eye on tomorrow?

"Dave Worrall! Apart from him, Steve Morison has continued his exemplary form from last season into this one and leads the line so well.

"Byron Webster, our centre-half, has risen from outcast to key team member, so he's worth a watch, too."

What's the team news ahead of the game?

"We're coming back to full strength after the international break and an injury list that had come about from playing so many games in such a short space of time at the beginning of the season.

"The biggest news is the return of striker Lee Gregory - Neil Harris is hopeful that he will play some part at Roots Hall."

What's the likely line up?

Archer; Romeo, Webster, Craig (c), Martin; Worrall, Thompson, Williams, Ferguson; O'Brien, Morison.

"There is a possibility of O'Brien moving out wide, replacing Ferguson, should Gregory start."
