SOUTHEND United manager Phil Brown will check on the fitness of Nile Ranger before selecting his starting line-up at Bradford City tonight.

The Shrimpers striker impressed in Saturday’s 1-0 win against Chesterfield.

But Brown must now decide whether or not the forward will be able to play a second game in quick succession.

“Nile did well to last 77 minutes on Saturday but we will have to see if he will be able to do the same straight away,” said Brown.

“We will have a look at him in training and then go from there.”

Ranger last started two games in succession back in November 2014.

But he is available for selection tonight along with every other squad member, apart from Michael Timlin who is still sidelined with a hamstring injury.

Stephen McLaughlin, Ryan Leonard and Simon Cox - who were all treated during Saturday’s game - are all available for selection.

And Brown must now decide whether or not to stick with the same team and a 4-4-2 formation.

Tonight’s game also sees midfielder Will Atkinson heading back to his former club.
