ECHOSPORT chats to Coventry City fan CJ Joiner ahead of tomorrow’s game at Roots Hall.

What is the current situation at Coventry and how have things ended up like this?

“We’re in an appalling situation.

"We are owned by SISU, a hedge fund that do not appear to be interested in showing ambition and under their stewardship we have sunk to the lowest point in the club’s history.

"The local paper, the Coventry Telegraph, has been banned from the training ground and talking to any of the club’s players or staff.

"The current deal at the Ricoh ends in 18 months meaning no stadium to play games in.

"The lease on our successful academy runs out in the summer meaning that could go too.

"SISU are also offering our training ground which is the club’s only major asset for housing.

"Under them this club has no future and is suffering a long, painful demise.

"To top it all off Mark Venus, one of only two directors on the club’s board, is currently managing the team and has overseen some of the worst performances in living memory.

"We lost 3-0 at Charlton, 4-1 at Oxford and 4-0 at Cambridge and all three score lines flattered us too.”

What have you made of the season so far and what are the hopes for the rest of the season?

“I first attended a game in 1991 and this season is the worst I’ve experienced.

“If we manage to stay up I will be delighted but flabbergasted.

“The best we can hope for is for another last day escape.

What players do Blues need to keep an eye on this weekend?

“Not many.

"Gael Bigirimana can be influential but isn’t having a good spell at present.

"Andy Rose, son-in-law to Bob Bradley can make an impact when he’s allowed a run in the team.

"Marvin Sordell is having a relatively good season compared to what he’s had in the past few years but it seems that if he doesn’t score, nobody else will.”

What’s the predicted starting line-up?

Burge,Willis, Harries,Turnbull, Page, McCann, Bigirimana, Rose, Jones, Sordell, Reid
