JERMAINE McGlashan will be seeking revenge with Southend United when he returns to Gillingham tomorrow.

The Shrimpers winger was released by the Gills at the end of the season.

But it is the two 3-1 defeats against the Kent club at the start of the current campaign which will be firing up McGlashan this weekend.

“We definitely feel as though we owe them one after the two defeats at the start of the season,” said the 28-year-old.

“For me personally I don’t think I like to have a point to prove. The manager who released me isn’t there anymore and I’m looking forward to going back.

“I enjoyed my two years at Gillingham but we’re going there with a good kind of arrogance and will not be taking any prisoners.”
