PHIL Brown believes tomorrow’s game at Bristol Rovers signals the start of his biggest week as manager of Southend United.
The seventh placed Shrimpers head to the Memorial Stadium sitting four points below the play-offs.
And Brown is keen to close that gap in the next seven days, which sees his side playing three matches.
“This is the biggest week I’ve had in my time at the club,” said Brown, who has been in charge of Blues since March 2013.
“If we get a good points return in the three games then we will be somewhere near the play-offs heading into the last eight games of the season.
“But we won’t look any further ahead than the game we have tomorrow, where hopefully the character and quality we have will cause them problems.”
