ECHOSPORT chats to AFC Wimbledon supporter Ray Armfield (pictured above) ahead of tomorrow’s game with Blues.

Following on from last season’s promotion from League Two what have you made of AFC Wimbledon’s campaign so far?

“It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster.

“We had nine games with a new goalkeeper at the start of the season which saw us in the bottom four.

“But he moved on by mutual consent and we quickly adjusted to briefly occupy a play-off place at one point.

“However, 51 points with eight games left is more than satisfactory especially with this being our first season at this level.”

AFC Wimbledon are currently 13th in the League One table. What are your hopes for the rest of the season?

“I think 60 points would be nice as would a top 10 finish.

“But more practically I’m told 12th place or better would secure a seeding in next year’s EFL Cup - a competition we have a shocking record in so far.”

Who are the AFC Wimbledon players Blues need to be keeping an eye on this weekend?

“Jake Reeves pulls the strings for us in midfield and Tom Elliott is fast becoming the archetypical ‘Wimbledon number nine’ in the style of John Fashanu.”

What’s the team news ahead of the game?

“It’s difficult to guess whether we will retain the 4-4-2 or revert to the 3-5-2 that brought us a win at Scunthorpe and draws at Bolton and Fleetwood.”

What do you think will be the starting line-up this weekend?

Shea, Francomb, Robinson, Charles, Meades, Soares, Bulman, Reeves, Parrett, Elliott, Taylor
