PHIL Brown believes he is facing his biggest day as Southend United manager this weekend.

Brown has bossed Blues for the past four years and has taken charge of 216 matches in that time.

But he feels Sunday’s home clash with Bury will be his most important so far as the Shrimpers strive to make the play-offs.

“We’ve had big games since I’ve been at the club but I think this is the biggest day so far because we want to make the Championship,” said Brown.

“Hopefully bigger games are still to come this season in the play-offs but all we’re focusing on is making sure we beat Bury.

“We need Millwall to drop points at Bristol Rovers but we need to take care of our own business.”

Seventh placed Blues head into their final game a point behind Millwall.
