SOUTHEND United’s Adam Thompson is to be selected in the Northern Ireland squad, Echosport understands.
The Shrimpers centre-back has been invited to attend a four day training camp at the end of the month.
And the defender will be hoping to make the cut for the friendly against New Zealand at the start of June.
Thompson has won two senior caps for Northern Ireland but has not been capped since 2011.
The 24-year-old has enjoyed a fine season with the Shrimpers, making 45 appearances.
