IT’S CHARLTON Athletic away for us this weekend and we’re going there looking to put in a solid away performance.

We’re all frustrated not to have more points on the board at this stage, especially after the way the last few games have gone.

But that’s behind us now and this is a game we’re looking forward to.

Charlton is a great place to go and play but, with the results they’ve had, it’s a game which is definitely going to test us.

We will need to stand up to them if we’re going to end our run of three draws with a win.

Last weekend it was frustrating to draw with Rochdale and it goes without saying I was extremely disappointed to miss the penalty.

It came at 0-0 and if I scored we would have won the game.

But I’m big and brave enough to deal with it and I’ll definitely be stepping up to take another penalty if we get one tomorrow.

Last weekend also saw the return of Nile Ranger but he has to keep on working hard to get the lads back on side.

While he’s been away we’ve had a tough pre-season and have been training hard so he needs to be doing more than us because he’s behind our fitness levels.

We are all going to be on at him whether he likes it or not, especially about his punctuality.

Away from the football this week, it was good to get out to a charity golf day with the manager and Michael Kightly.

The fact I beat them made it even better and although Kights is a good golfer I can’t be losing to someone who doesn’t use a driver from the tee.

The table-tennis has been quiet with Jason Demetriou away and congratulations must go to Elvis Bwomono for making his debut in his place.

But the pool table has been busy with Mark Oxley leading the way, playing killer.
