SOUTHEND United manager Phil Brown has yet to discover how long Michael Kightly will be out for with him hamstring injury.
The Shrimpers winger picked up the problem towards the end of last Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at Charlton Athletic.
But a further scan will be needed before the full details can be revealed.
“The initial scan has come back but there’s a bit of disparity between it and the analysis we’ve got and what the radiologist has said too,” confirmed Brown.
“Michael will have another scan next Tuesday and we’ll take a few on it then but he’s not available for Saturday.”
Kightly also missed Tuesday’s defeat at Shrewsbury.
