SOUTHEND United midfielder Anthony Wordsworth will miss tomorrow night's clash at MK Dons.

Wordsworth has sat out the Shrimpers' last two matches due to a calf injury and personal problem.

And Blues boss Phil Brown will again be without tomorrow.

"Woody is not available," said Brown.

"He has personal problems we don’t need to go into but we need to get over them because we miss him.

"He produces moments of magic that weren’t there on Saturday at Portsmouth but we’ll need that quality in the final third tomorrow.

"With Woody not available someone else needs to step up but I’m hoping he will be available for the weekend against Oxford."

However, Brown had originally Wordsworth to feature at Portsmouth.

"He trained at the start of last week and we thought he would play at the weekend but every time he's gone out there the problem in his calf has reoccurred so it’s a bit more sinister than just a tight calf," said Brown.

"The physios and sport science staff are trying to get to the bottom of it but it might have something to do with the personal problems we need to get to the bottom of."

Blues have failed to win any of the last six League games without Wordsworth and have triumphes in just two of the last 10 he has missed.
