SOUTHEND United striker Nile Ranger will miss tonight’s game at MK Dons due to a ‘disciplinary procedure’.

Ranger failed to convert a penalty at Portsmouth on Saturday.

And Blues boss Phil Brown will not be calling on the 26-year-old again this evening.

“Nile isn’t involved because of a disciplinary procedure yesterday,” said Brown.

“It’s not for public consumption what’s happened but it’s just down to discipline and we’ll leave it at that.”

Ranger has been dogged by controversy throughout his career and was suspended for a month last season after a serious breach of club discipline.

The forward also missed the start of the current season after being sent to prison for online fraud.
