WE’VE had a bit of fun at the training ground, with the manager springing a quiz on us as a surprise.

Apparently he was out walking in Leigh when he saw the box of 2,500 quiz questions in a shop window so he decided to bring it in and it was certainly a good laugh.

It turned out to be the most difficult quiz of my life and there were two whole rounds where not one team were able to get a question right!

One of those was on wildlife and was certainly too tough for a bunch of footballers!

In the end, it was Lee Harrison’s team who won but I very much doubt anyone other than him actually got a question right!

Lee is very bright but I can’t see Nile Ranger, Norman Wabo and Stephen Hendrie knowing too much!

On our team it was a bad day for the skipper and he didn’t get a single question right!

The winners received £250 which they donated to Great Ormond Street Hospital and hopefully next time we do the quiz the questions might be a little bit easier!

Elsewhere, we’ve seen a few changes to the fancy dress groups for the Christmas party and we now have a few lads going as the Jackson Five, which should be fun to see. Nile Ranger is also happy he’s no longer a smurf and will now be going as a Power Ranger.

However, the main focus is on the football and making sure we get back to winning ways against Oldham tomorrow.

The last couple of games have been a little bit frustrating because we deserved more than two draws, but there are positive signs.

For myself, personally, it was good to score on Saturday and I feel like I’m getting back to the form I was in during the second half of last season.

I’ll be looking to make it 100 League goals tomorrow but I’m not sure if I’ll be doing another T-shirt, mainly because we haven’t got anyone who can print it!
