IT’S Bristol Rovers away for us tomorrow and I think it was this fixture last season that saw us produce our poorest performance.

With that in mind, we’ll be returning there feeling like we owe them one and owe it to ourselves and the fans to produce a much better performance.

Our form has been good in the League recently and I saw this week that we’re fourth in the current form guide which backed that up but we have to keep it going, especially away from home.

For whatever reason we haven’t been as resilient on the road and we know that has to improve, starting with tomorrow.

At home it’s a different story and we kept our unbeaten run there going with a 2-0 win against Oldham Athletic last weekend.

It was our game in hand on many of the teams above us so it was important we won to move up a few places and to also close the gap on the play-offs, which we were able to do.

Josh (Wright) sealed our win with his goal and made us laugh with his celebration.

At half-time I shouted to the boys to keep the press up to make sure we started the second half strongly.

But Josh thought I actually meant we should do press-ups so decided to do some when he scored!

Unfortunately, it wasn’t quite as positive at Peterborough in the Checkatrade Trophy on Wednesday night and we’re still disappointed to have gone out of the competition.

We had our chances with Josh and Nile (Ranger) both hitting the woodwork and Theo (Robinson) going close as well.

Peterborough obviously had opportunities at the other end but the positive for us was that we were still able to create those chances.

We’ll obviously be looking to do better with our opportunities at Bristol Rovers and it’s another important game as the League has always been our priority this season.
