SOUTHEND United’s Bilel Mohsni expects to complete a three month loan switch to Ipswich Town on Friday.

Mohsni trained with the Championship club yesterday.

And the French defender is likely to remain with the Tractor Boys until at least January.

“I expect to sign for Ipswich tomorrow and it will be a three month deal,” confirmed Mohsni.

“I came back in to train today and they put me through a fitness test on my own to make sure I’m fit enough to play.

“I’m really pleased that everything is close to being sorted and Ipswich are a good club in the Championship so I’m happy to come here.”

The versatile Mohsni joined Blues on a free transfer in July 2010 and scored 18 goals in 71 games for the club.

However, he did not return to Roots Hall at the start of the season and spent time on trial with both West Ham United and Birmingham City.

Mohsni also spent a week with Ipswich before refusing to stay for longer on trial.

But the Tractor Boys, who are second from bottom in the Championship, have now agreed to take him back.

He can stay there for all I care. He burn his bridges. I would not want to see him back in a Shrimpers shirt.
