LEIGH-ON-SEA have had an uninspiring start to the season and are still looking for their first win after four matches.

They travel to bottom side Hainault & Clayhall tomorrow who themselves will be looking to end a below-par start to the campaign.

Dean Waller’s Leigh were one wicket away from securing the points last weekend against Wickford but couldn’t get their man, with the captain pleased with his bowlers’ efforts.

And he will want more of the same tomorrow.

“We did well last weekend but couldn’t get that final wicket,” he said. “Now we need to go into this match with a positive mind set and try and get the right result.

“We have been playing well recently so I am confident we are close to that win. Let’s hope that it comes tomorrow.”

OLD Southendian & Southchurch will be looking to put several poor results behind them against Harlow Town tomorrow.

The Old Boys have not been at their best in recent weeks and have lost their last two matches in division two, but Lucas is keen to change that tomorrow.

Harlow Town have drawn all of their last three, with Aaron Lucas’ side confident of taking a positive result from the encounter.

Wickford host Horndon-on-the-Hill, with both still searching for their best form at the start of term.

Wickford are winless and Horndon have not won in their last two matches after a 100 per cent start to the season.

As such, maximum points will see Wickford overhaul their opponents tomorrow and potentially climb into the top four.
