ESSEX wicketkeeper James Foster has escaped significant punishment despite being found guilty of "serious dissent" following his dismissal in the Friends Life t20 defeat to Surrey last week.
Foster was today found guilty of the Level Two breach of the ECB disciplinary code (showing serious dissent at an umpire's decision by word or action) and was handed three penalty points.
The 31-year-old escaped a ban, however, as the penalty points are his first. A player must accumulate nine points to attract an automatic suspension.
