ENGLAND beware — another two Agars could soon be out to get you!

Alastair Cook’s side struggled to contain Ashton during the First Test at Trent Bridge.

But his two younger brothers — who both play for Richmond in South Australia — are also pushing to follow in his foot-steps.

William 17, is a promising left-handed batsman who has already scored a century in the under-18 Australian state championships.

And 16-year-old Wesley impresses with both and ball.

“They’re both very good players,” said their father, John.

“They’re playing second grade cricket which is one level below the highest grade and they’ve been doing well.

“William is a technically sound batsmen and Wesley is a strong all rounder.”

Both of the youngsters showed off their skills playing for Hadleigh & Thundersley against a Lashings side featuring a number of former international players.

Wesley dismissed Zimbabwian Cephas Zhuwao and went for 33 runs from his five overs before he also confidently caught Pakistan’s Mohammad Yousuf off of Joe Sexton’s bowling.

And he also often succeeds where England failed for so long in the first Ashes test by regularly bowling out his younger brother Ashton.

“When we play on our driveway back home I’m always getting him out,” laughed Wesley, who boasts career best figures of 6-36 with the ball and 63 not out with the bat.

“Coming over here has been really exciting and so was getting to watch Ashton against England “I get nervous watching him bowl but not bat because any runs he gets are just a bonus.

“It was great to be there to see him do so well though and of course I’d love to follow in his footsteps.”

William also dreams of playing in an Ashes series and has also been spurred on by his brother’s antics.

“He struck up a good partnership with Phil Hughes, which was good to see,” said William.

“I’d love to be able to something similar in the future and that’s what I’ll be working towards.”

The Agars will also be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Ian, Greg and Trevor Chappell and Steve and Mark Waugh, brothers who also played in the same Australian side together.

John, William and Wesley were all presented with Hadleigh club caps during their day at the ground along with another cap to be passed on to Ashton.
