THERE is little to play for the three south-east Essex sides on the final day of the Division One season tomorrow.

Third placed Hadleigh & Thundersley are unable to win promotion but will be hoping to keep hold of their current position when they host Hutton, who are fifth, this weekend.

And Hadleigh bowler David Williams is keen for the team to end their fine season in style.

“Obviously it’s been a good season and we’ll be going all for a win as we want to end the season on a high,” said Williams.

“We want to cement that third place finish which will be the highest we’ve had since returning to Division One in 2010.”

Seventh placed Southend are in action away from home as they travel to Woodford, who sit just above them in the table.

Southend are also just 17 points below fourth placed Harlow in what has been an incredibly tight league all season.

However, second from bottom Wickford have already been relegated and complete a miserable campaign against the only team below them in the table, Ardleigh Green.

Both of the teams will be in Division Two next season.
