OLD Southendian & Southchurch will be hoping they do not have a hangover from their tour in Brighton this week when they face Benfleet tomorrow.

The Old Boys are second in the Essex League Division Three table and travel to Woodside Park ahead of their crunch clash with leaders Old Parkonians next week.

"We are on tour this week in Brighton and I'm a bit concerned about our energy levels for next week against Benfleet," said skipper Aaron Lucas.

"But we'll have to deal with it and make sure we're still level on points with Oakfield Parkonians because that's going to be massive."

Benfleet captain Gareth Steed said his team are motivated for the match because some of them are friends with Southendian players and want to get one over on them.

"It's win or lose and we ran them very close the first time and we know that on our day we can beat anyone," Steed said.

"We will be going out there and giving it a go, but they are up there for a reason."

Westcliff captain Chris Gladwin faces a selection headache ahead of their game against Epping at Chalkwell Park as he has 16 players available.

"We have to have experience against Epping because we have to try and win that game," said Gladwin.

"They are a dangerous side to play against because you just want the points, but you never know what going to happen because they can destroy you."

Basildon & Pitsea head to Old Brentwoods with captain Michael Gray desperate to get a win following two defeats.

" I just cannot work us out because we have so much talent and I think we are good enough but we are not consistent enough," he said.

"We just need a win to get us on a roll."
