PLAYERS from under sevens to seniors were in action when Southend club Trinity FC staged their popular annual tournament at the Youth Ground in Eastern Avenue.

More than 250 teams took part in four days of competition with visitors coming from all over Essex and Kent.

Trinity won three of the winners’ trophies themselves, at under-11, 12 and 13 level.

Results, with competition sponsors in brackets, were as follows: Under 7 (Creative Curtains) exhibition matches - participants Trinity Lions, Concord Rangers, Ekco Whitecaps Lions, Xcel, Chigwell Boys, Elmwood Colts, Benfleet Youth, Romford Flyers, Eclipse Youth, Senrab.

Under 8 (Southchurch Building Contractors) exhibition matches - participants Trinity Lions, Great Wakering Colts, Hawkwell Tigers, Wickford Town Tigers, Shield Academy, Chalvedon Boys, Little Thurrock Dynamos, Romford Flyers, Eclipse Youth.

Under 9 1 (N J White) - winners, Leigh Ramblers Lions; runners-up, Ashingdon Lions. Under-9 2 (Essex and Suffolk Water) - winners, Corringham Cosmos; runners-up, Trinity Tigers.

Under 10 1 (CPI Euro Mix) - winners, Woodford Youth; runners-up, Rayleigh Boys Leopards. Under-10 2 (Kip McGrath) - winners, Shield Academy; runners-up, Ashingdon Leopards. Under-10 3 (EGL Homecare) - winners, Leigh Ramblers Lions; runners-up, Southend Manor.

Under 11 1 (Nobles) - winners, Trinity A; runners-up, Trinity B. Under-11 2 (Hamstel Florist) - winners, Basildon Boys; runners-up, Deanswood Youth. Under-11 3 (Cory Environmental) - winners, Hambro Colts; runners-up, Benfleet Youth.
