CONCORD head to runaway league leaders Bromley tonight with the hosts confident the game will be on.

The fixture was originally due to be played in early January but was postponed because of a water-logged pitch.

Bromley’s scheduled visit Eastbourne Borough on Saturday was postponed after the ref made a tight decision to call it off.

It was the second Saturday in a row they had a game go down but a spokesman for the Kent club said on Monday afternoon they are “very confident” tonight’s Skrill South fixture with the Beachboys will go ahead.

And it will see a clash between two sides in fine form. In fact the Lilleywhites are in frightening form with seven wins and a draw since the start of December.

They have an 11-point lead at the top of the table and feature former Billericay defenders Rob Swaine and Joe Anderson.

They also boast the division’s top-scorer Bradley Goldberg, who has 15 goals and is Bromley manager Mark Goldberg’s son.

Concord are having a decent winter too, though, with just one defeat since the start of December, and three wins from their last three games.

And their own frontline is in rude health as well, with Tony Stokes helping himself to a brace when he played alongside top-scorer Sam Higgins in a 3-1 win at home to Hayes on Saturday.

Bromley won the reverse fixture 3-2 in September after they trailed 2-1 at half-time following goals from Sam Higgins and a belter from Gary Ogilvie.
