FREDDIE LADAPO'S wonder goal was enough to earn Hayes a tight victory over Concord.
The former Colchester United striker controlled a cross from the left on his chest before rifling a first-time hit into the top corner midway through the first half.
By then Concord's Steve Cawley had already had a good effort when he turned smartly in the box but hit his shot straight at home keeper Mikhael Jaimez-Ruiz.
It was a shot-shy second half but Concord had a gilt-edged chance to level in injury-time, but Steve King planted a free header down and wide of the post, and then Ladapo dragged a shot wide at the death.
