CONCORD showed little sign of fatigue during their third game in five days with a solid performance against Weston-super-Mare at the Aspect Arena.

Goals either side of half time from Sam Collins and Steve Cawley were enough to give the Beachboys three points in their Conference South clash.

The visitors kept the ball well but were denied space by the home side who pressed their opponents hard during the match.

The first half saw feww chances although Cawley's 12th minute half volley bounced onto the top of the crossbar.

It was a nice flowing play which gave Concord the lead on the stroke of half time when Lewis Taaffe flicked tha ball to Collins who ran in on goal and sli the ball past Lloyd Irish.

Four minutes after the break Cawley doubled the lead when Joe Gardner battled down the right wing to get the ball into the box.

Irish spilt the ball in the six yard box and Cawley stepped up to tap in.

Weston looked to go more direct after this but the host's defence was resolute and looked dangerous on the counter attack.

Two minutes from time they could have got a third when Zane Banton pinged a pass into the six yard box, only for Tony Stokes at full stretch to hit his effort over with the goal at his mercy.
