East Thurrock boss John Coventry says his side will attack from the off as they begin a run of four straight home matches in eight days.

Rocks take on Harrow Borough tonight, after claiming a valuable point at fifth-placed Maidstone on Saturday, and will face table-topping Wealdstone, rivals Canvey Island and mid-table Margate at Rookery Hill in the coming days.

Coventry says his side were buoyed after their valiant defensive show at the weekend, but confirmed he will make changes to the players and formation tonight.

“We need to be aggressive at home as we look to drag ourselves out of this position. We all know our current league position doesn’t reflect the ability in the squad and that is something only we can change.

“We showed our attacking quality on Saturday as we could have been 3-0 up at half-time, but in the second half our defending was superb and that point could be very important come the end of the season. Harrow have nine more points than us, but if we beat them and win our games in hand we could be on 45 points as well.”

Coventry said he had no serious injury concerns ahead of the match against Harrow although Mitchell Gilbey, who went off in the first half against Maidstone, and Nick Symonds, tight calf, are doubts with minor knocks.
