GREAT Wakering Rovers face an injury crisis ahead of their tough-looking clash with high-flying Needham Market.

Rovers host top-of-the-table Needham with only 13 players at manager Dan Trenkel’s disposal.

Skipper Lewis Sparrow (neck), Joe Skeels (suspended), James Pugsley (away) and long-term absentee George Artemi are all unavailable for the Ryman North match.

17-year-old Scott Clarke, who made headlines after scoring three times in a week for separate Rovers teams, will be called into the first team squad and will be hoping to make his mark.

“We are down to the bare bones,” he said. “With players injured, suspended or away we only have 13 players to choose from.”

Two reserve team players will also be called up for the match, although they could be in for a baptism of fire.

Needham have triumphed 17 of their 21 games, having notched eight away wins.

lGreat Wakering Rovers have made entry to the match free for supporters, as the club raises money for the Help for Heroes charity.

A collection bucket will be doing the rounds at Burroughs Park.
