Danny Cowley says Concord Rangers face an “extremely tough” end of the year ahead of clashes with Bromley and Gosport Borough.

The Beach Boys are aiming to get back on track in the league, having lost two of the last three games.

However, they face one of their toughest tests of the season when they welcome Bromley to the Aspect Arena on Boxing Day.

The second-placed Kent side are one of the division’s front runners and Cowley said it will be a stern examination of his team’s credentials.

“Bromley probably have the biggest budget in the league,” he said. “We have a number of injuries for the game, with none of the players who were injured before Christmas likely to be fit for this game.”

Those players include Jeremy Walker, Jack Lampe and Joe Gardner and all three are unlikely to be fit for the Beach Boys trip to Gosport Borough on Sunday.

And Cowley says the calibre of Concord’s opponents is testing his squad to the maximum.

“Gosport are another team who are flying but we must focus and take our chances when they come our way.

“We knew that this would be a tough period for us, what with Bromley coming here on New Year’s Day but we embrace the challenge.”
