ROUND-UP: Concord Rangers are looking to topple the best home record in the Conference South when they visit table-topping Boreham Wood tomorrow.

The Wood have won 10 of their 15 home matches, and are also the league’s top scorers at home (33), while the Beach Boys have the fewest away goal on their travels, albeit having played fewer games.

But manager Danny Cowley has led his Concord side on a fine recent run which sees them joint top of the form guide, following Tuesday night’s 2-1 win over Chelmsford City.

And he says the Beach Boys go into the game in confident mood, having beaten Boreham Wood 4-0 in the FA Trophy last November.

“We will prepare as we have prepared for each of our games this season and go there trying to take something from the game,” he said. “We respect Boreham Wood and I respect their manager Ian Allinson very much.

“They have built a very good football club over there and deserve their place at the top of the league. They have the best home record in the division and that goes to show the challenge that we face tomorrow.”

Lewis Taaffe, inset, will miss the game having been ruled out indefinitely with an ankle injury.

East Thurrock United visit Tonbridge Angels after picking up a positive point at Hendon on Monday.

Kye Ruel netted for Rocks in the 1-1 draw, although the team were decimated by injuries, and manager John Coventry confirmed his side would be in better shape come tomorrow.

Lewis Smith, who missed the midweek draw could again be absent for Rocks, with Dave Bryant and Paul Goodacre facing late fitness tests.

Billericay Town travel to Enfield Town in a battle of two sides still in with a shot of making the play-offs.

Town sit one point below tomorrow’s opponents, but know a win could take them to within five points of the final play-off place.

Joe Wright will start in goal while Ricky Sappleton is expected to start after going off injured midweek.
