BILLERICAY TOWN suffered a 2-0 defeat to AFC Hornchurch on Friday night, with former Town player Junior Luke bagging both goals for the hosts.
Onome Sodje signed for Billericay after the match.
A member of the footballing Sodje family, Sodje played for Nuneaton Town in the Conference last season.
“Onome has already shown in his short time at the club his undoubted ability,” said Billericay manager Craig Edwards.
“I think he will be a top striker in our division.
“It wouldn’t have been possible to bring Onome in if it wasn’t for the chairman Steve Kent backing the deal personally, so we are very grateful for that.”
