THE PREVIEW: Rocks head into this tough encounter refreshed and raring to go after a weekend off. Their clash with Farnborough was postponed due to the Hampshire club’s financial difficulties, but this match, barring disaster, will go ahead.
Hendon won 3-0 at the weekend and have looked ominously impressive in the early weeks of the season, but failed to get the better of East Thurrock last term – both games ending 1-1.
The weekend off may have done Rocks boss John Coventry the world of good, with star man Sam Higgins still recovering from an injury.
WHAT HE SAYS: Rock boss Coventry, said: We didn’t play on Saturday but I still managed to watch a game and get some scouting done so it wasn’t a wasted Saturday.
Hendon are a very good side and they have started the season well. I watched them recently and their togetherness always impresses me. I know their manager (Gary McCann) well and they have a good group of players. Hopefully we can put together a good performance, as we often seem to do against Hendon and, if we show a united front, we can go far this season.

TEAM NEWS: Sam Higgins faces a late fitness test while Kye Ruel (holiday) and Simon Peddie (work commitment) are also unavailable. Coventry expects to have just 14 players, including Higgins, to choose from.
