THE PREVIEW: Concord Rangers have had a difficult couple of weeks.
Three consecutive defeats have seen the Beach Boys drop to 15th in the standings, having led the way after two games. Combine that with the serious injury sustained by Sam Collins (double leg break) on the opening day, and three points would do manager Adam Flanagan the world of good against Stortford.
Stortford won the corresponding fixture 3-1 last season, as they look to build on their two league successes so far this season.
WHAT HE SAYS: Concord Rangers boss Adam Flanagan: “Bishop’s Stortford will be a tough game as they have started the season well. They have a seasoned manager in Rod Stringer so they will be well prepared and ready for us.
“We have to make sure we match the effort, determination and hunger that Stortford have if we want to get anything out of the game.
“I feel if we do this and cut out the defensive errors that have appeared in the recent games that we will be in a strong position.
“This is a ruthless league and our determination needs to be evident every week in every game.”
