THE PREVIEW: Concord Rangers head to Bath in good spirits after their 2-0 victory over rivals Chelmsford in the Essex Senior Cup.

The win was the Beach Boys’ first since the last round of the competition, but the team head to a struggling Bath confident of securing their first three points in the league since November 24.

Concord have been sharing the goals around so far this season, and have scored the most of any side outside the top nine, while they have also kept two clean sheets in the last two matches.

Bath meanwhile are in turmoil ahead of the clash, after they parted company with manager of eight years Lee Howells this week.

The Somerset side have been slipping down the table for the past two months, and have lost nine of the last 11 matches in all competitions.

WHAT HE SAYS: Beach Boys manager Adam Flanagan said: “This game will be tough as, in the earlier part of the season, they showed what a good team they are. They are out of form but one good result can bring a team back to life and we need to make sure our result on Saturday isn’t it.

“With the manager leaving this week it will be a fresh start for their players so we will need to make sure we approach the game in the right way. It’s an important fixture for us.

“Having not won a game since December the most important thing for me was to get back winning ways. The fact that the win puts us through to a semi-final of a cup is an added bonus!”
