THE PREVIEW: Concord recorded a first league win since November 24 in their last outing at Bath City, and will be looking to follow that up at promotion-contenders Maidstone United.

The Stones, who play on a 3G surface, sit second having won promotion from the Ryman Premier League last term and were 2-1 winners in a close match at the Aspect Arena earlier in the season.

Concord will be taking on the most miserly defence in the division (16 conceded in 25 games) although Maidstone don’t score many either with only three teams have netted fewer than their 26 this term.

The Beach Boys could climb into the top 10 with a win tomorrow.

WHAT HE SAYS: Beach Boys manager Adam Flanagan said: “It was good to get a win in the league as we hadn’t won for some time.

“The most pleasing things about the result was the way we dug in as a team, as I didn’t feel we played particularly well. We didn’t retain the ball as we have done lately and going forward we didn’t create the chances we have been so far this season.

“Maidstone will be a difficult game for us. They are well-supported so it will be a great game to be involved in.

“As good as they are, we can take some confidence from our first game against them into this match where I felt we played well. Hopefully we will give another good account of ourselves this time around and we will get a more positive outcome at the end of the game.”
