Canvey Island v Burgess Hill Town / RYMAN PREMIER LEAGUE

The preview: Canvey are fighting for places as their league season grinds to a halt and they sit in mid table ahead of this clash with Burgess Hill Town.

However, Burgess Hill are looking to guarantee their league status as they go for all three points at the Frost Financial Stadium.

Burgess Hill sit four points above the drop zone with three games to go although a win tomorrow should be enough to secure their safety.

Canvey won last time out at Met Police and will fancy their chances against a side without a win since February 3.

But Burgess Hill can take confidence from their last meeting, from which they emerged 3-2 winners.

A similar result would see them take a significant step to beating the drop.

What he said: Gulls manager Danny Heale said: “We changed our shape last Saturday (against Met Police) to a diamond and it suited us. I was pleased with the performance and it gives us a chance to win this mini-league in the middle of the table and we want to end the season well, especially with that our last home game.

“We want to give the home fans a good send off. We played Burgess Hill before and lost 3-2 in windy conditions but we don’t want them taking six points from us.

“We had some absentees last week but we had some clever technical players on the pitch and we got the better of Met Police. They couldn’t get the best of us but we need to keep it up and that starts tomorrow.”
