Harlow Town v Great Wakering Rovers / RYMAN ONE NORTH

The preview: Back-to-back wins for Great Wakering has secured their league status, and they will be pleased about that with a daunting run of fixtures to end their season.

They travel to third-placed Harlow who are guaranteed a play-off spot, but are still in need of points as they aim to finish second and secure a home draw in the semi-final and final come the end of the campaign.

Wakering’s last match at Dereham Town was postponed so they may be slightly rusty heading into this match on the artificial turf.

Harlow top the form guide having won four of their last six games, while Wakering have been inconsistent for much of the season.

However Wakering secured an impressive 2-2 draw when the two last met, and that would be very well received tomorrow.

What he said: Wakering boss Gary Ansell said: “Two weeks ago I was a bit worried and the boys got a bit of dressing down and they were very good against Tilbury and Phoenix. They showed they are good enough to be here.

“I thought we could get something there and we found out on the way home that we were safe without

“We got there at half one and at 1.45 I was called outside and he called it off for the safety of the players.

“I understand the plusses at games do get called off at our level because of the standard but for me you play on grass. You need to make sure the players aren’t playing a training game.

“Harlow and Sudbury play on it all the time and they are in the top three. We should have won the reverse fixture but they are not third because they are a bad side. We go there with no pressure and enjoy ourselves on that surface.”
