The preview: Concord Rangers’ hopes of securing a top five finish ended following a 2-1 home defeat to Truro City on Tuesday night.

Concord host Havant & Waterlooville hoping to end the home campaign on a high after what has been a generally poor season in front of their own fans, with just six wins from their 20 games.

However, they are up against a side with no shortage of incentive to get a result, with Havant currently sitting second from bottom and two points adrift of safety.

But Havant have the worst away record in the league with just one win to their name of their travels so far, with 50 goals conceded in 20 matches so far.

There is no entry fee for the match, with it being the Beach Boys annual community day, with all donations going to the Indee Rose Trust.

What he said: Beach Boys manager Adam Flanagan said: “It will be another tough game for us. Havant have some very good players and their league position probably doesn’t reflect the level of player they have in their team.

"I have said to the players that it is our last home game of the season and I want a big performance so hopefully this is what we will get.

"Matches against the teams nearer the bottom this year haven't brought out our finest performances but I am confident that, on our charity day and with a few more people watching, we will put in a performance."
