THE non-league pre-season calendar gets underway tomorrow, as teams prepare for the start of another season in four weeks.
Concord Rangers discovered on Wednesday that their National League South season will begin at Hemel Hempstead Town on August 6, but they can expect an easier test when they travel to Ryman North outfit Waltham Abbey tomorrow.
Kick-off at Capershotts is at 1pm, with Concord returning to action next Tuesday against Millwall.
Billericay Town have arguably their toughest test of pre-season when they make the trip to Kent to take on National League powerhouses Dover at 3pm.
Manager Craig Edwards is likely to use the occasion as an opportunity to test out a number of new players ahead of a match with Reading on Tuesday.
Bowers & Pitsea are preparing for their maiden season in the Ryman North and they face a familiar foe in Hullbridge Sports at Ilford’s Fords Sports & Social Ground at 2pm.
Great Wakering Rovers host their annual home match with Southend United (KO 1pm) while Basildon United and Southend Manor are also in action.
Basildon visit Olympian side Harold Wood at 1pm, with Manor travelling to AFC Barnston at 2:30pm.
