GREAT Wakering Rovers came from two goals down to beat East Thurrock United 3-2 in an exciting pre-season clash at Burroughs Park on Saturday.

Goals from James Walker and Dagenham & Redbridge trialist Darren Foxley had put the National League South side in the driving seat heading into half time before Leon Gordon halved the deficit at the break.

But a double from Jay Nash in the second-half turned the score line on its head, with the Ryman North team taking the victory.

Concord Rangers needed a late equaliser to earn a draw against Ryman Premier League newcomers Folkestone Invicta.

A goal midway through the first half had seen the Beach Boys fall behind but a strike with one minute remaining from Tom Stephen saw the game end all square.

Bowers & Pitsea played out a thrilling 3-3 draw with Enfield 1893, as the Ryman North side came from behind to share the goals with the Essex Senior League outfit.

Brad Warner, Tom Hine and James Stevens got the Bowers & Pitsea goals.

Basildon United beat Old Southendian 5-2, Hullbridge Sports were beaten 5-0 by Grays Athletic and Southend Manor went down 2-1 against Thurrock.
