l RUNDOWN: Canvey Island will be looking to make it back-to-back victories in the Ryman Premier League when Met Police visit the Frost Financial Stadium tomorrow.
The Gulls were beaten on penalty kicks in the Ryman League Cup on Tuesday by lower-league opposition and manager Danny Heale will expect a response against another side they would fancy their chances against.
Met Police sit bottom of the standings and are without a win in their first 11 matches this season, only picking up three draws so far.
They have also only scored seven goals, while Canvey have 16 goals in just nine matches so far this term.
l MANAGER’S VIEW: Gulls manager Danny Heale said: “We were 4-1 down with 10 minutes to go and drew 4-4 two years ago. We always have a tough game against them but they are struggling and it will be a big game.
"Injuries are hurting us badly and it feels like half the squad is out. We are a few games behind people and that is potentially going to hurt us later but it might to do us a favour getting people back fit.
"If we win tomorrow we could be right up there. We have faith in the reserve team guys and some are probably going to make their debuts."
l TEAM NEWS: Marlon Agyakwa, Sheldon Sellears, Mitch Gilbey, Conor Gough, Jack Lampe are all out, Jake Pitty is rated 50/50.
